As Part of Art week eight of our teachers decided that they would become Craft masters and have a go at Pumpkin carving. It was a tough competition as some of our teachers are extremely competitive, but the judges (Miss Nolen and Miss Minnock) decision was Final, Mr McKeon and Mr Renaghan won the Competition with an amazing Minimalist Pumpkin. Thanks to all the teachers who took part.

Art Week T-Shirt Printing
As part of Art week. A number of students, both art and non art students
took park in some T-shirt printing. I think we may have a budding
Fashion Designer or two in the De La! Thank you T.Y students for helping
with the stencil making and printing also thank you Mrs Toal and Miss
Bailey for all your help.

DE LA SALLE ART WEEK OCT 10 -14
Welcome to De la Salle Art Week
During this week we will be celebrating Art, Craft and Design. The De La Salle has been Lent a number of Paintings, Illustrations and Prints from Artists, these works of art can be seen in the notice boards throughout the school.
On Wednesday 12th, we will have a T-Shirt Printing workshop which will take place in Mr Gallaghers Art Room at lunch Time.
On Thursday 13th we will have a Teacher V Teacher Art activity.
On Friday 14th two past pupils are coming into school to show their Portfolio's. Ronan Keane, who is currently studying Architecture in DIT and Rory Martin who is currently studying Visual Communications in NCAD.
We will keep you posted on further activities.

2nd year Lino Prints
Students had to create a lino print in the format of a stamp based on the theme 'My Local Area'
This piece of work was based on a lighthouse from the coastline in the Louth area.
The Late Late Toy Show

One of our first year studens had a brush with fame and celebrity recently when he featured in The Late Late Toy Show.
Adam Englishby of 1 Padraig brought his Papercraft models to Montrose where he wowed presenter Ryan Tubridy and the audience alike
