Apple Tree Foundation Exhibition

A few weeks ago we were approached by the Apple Tree Foundation. They asked for a number of pieces of art work from our junior certificate students. Below are a few photographs from the opening, which took place today. The Exhibition runs for the next two weeks and all are welcome to visit and check out the local creative talent.

Ronan Keane and Rory Martin visit.



On friday to close Art Week, two past puils, Ronan Keane and Rory Martin came back to the De La Salle, to share there work, knowledge and advice to both fifth and sixth year students who are currently deciding on an career in Art, craft or Design. Thanks to both Ronan and Rory for taking time out of college.

Teacher Craft Activity

As Part of Art week eight of our teachers decided that they would become Craft masters and have a go at Pumpkin carving. It was a tough competition as some of our teachers are extremely competitive, but the judges (Miss Nolen and Miss Minnock) decision was Final, Mr McKeon and Mr Renaghan won the Competition with an amazing Minimalist Pumpkin. Thanks to all the teachers who took part.








Art Week T-Shirt Printing

As part of Art week. A number of students, both art and non art students took park in some T-shirt printing. I think we may have a budding Fashion Designer or two in the De La! Thank you T.Y students for helping with the stencil making and printing also thank you Mrs Toal and Miss Bailey for all your help.
